The interview process

   Online application

   Official

   Apply on the Two Sigma careers portal for the 2027 internship or campus full-time role. The 2027 internship page says applications are now open; no deadline is published.

2. 2

   Remote video interviews

   Official

   All interviews are held by video (Google Meet or Microsoft Teams) with an assigned recruiting coordinator, who sends a calendar hold and the meeting link the evening before. If after a few interviews the firm feels there is no fit, your time may be shorter than the original slot. Use of ChatGPT or other AI tools is strictly prohibited and can lead to disqualification.

3. 3

   Quantitative research and modelling interviews

   Official

   Practical discussion and problem solving covering data analysis / open-ended problem solving (the firm provides a demo video), coding and algorithms, and statistics (or your research domain for PhDs), plus questions about your own experience and projects. A recruiter schedules a prep call beforehand.

4. 4

   Software engineering interviews

   Official

   Up to 3 rounds. The first half is three 60-minute technical interviews on data structures, algorithms and object-oriented design in a shared codepair environment (C, C++, Java or Python), and may include a systems-design exercise. If you continue, further interviews of about 60 minutes discuss your projects and experience.
