1. 1

   Online application

   Apply through the Schroders emerging-talent job board (applications cannot be sent by email). Graduate and intern applications open about August/September each year, are reviewed on a rolling basis, and the round can close early. Only one application per candidate per region at a time.

2. 2

   Stage 1: cognitive assessment

   Short online multiple-choice test of about 20 minutes (not timed strictly; completed at your own pace).

3. 3

   Stage 2: motivation and behavioural assessment

   Short online multiple-choice questionnaire of about 20 minutes.

4. 4

   Stage 3: workplace scenarios and video intro

   About 30 minutes: realistic workplace scenario questions plus a short recorded video answer; a bespoke feedback report follows each online stage, usually within 24 hours.

5. 5

   Stage 4: assessment centre

   Group activity, short presentation and interview over about four to five hours; graduate assessment centres take place October-December, with at least a week's notice.

6. 6

   Offer and conversion

   Internships and placement years are the key feeder to the graduate programme (not guaranteed; based on performance, business needs and a final interview); you do not need an internship to apply for graduate roles.
